About Argentium & Care...

About Argentium® Silver

Argentium® silver is a purer sterling made with 93.5% - 96.0% fine silver, less copper than traditional sterling, and the anti-tarnishing, white, crystalline element, germanium dioxide, which self-regenerates to keep your silver beautiful and highly tarnish-resistant.

The cloth included with your purchase has an exclusive, anti-tarnish agent, which additionally exposes the germanium, natural, pure beauty, and brightness of Argentium® sterling silver.

Care Instructions:

To clean, simply wipe your jewelry with your Sunshine® cloth to produce an immediate shine!

Plus, you can wash your jewelry with lukewarm water and a mild soap, or non-phosphate detergent such as Dawn® dishwashing liquid, and gently clean with your fingers.    Thoroughly dry your jewelry before wearing or wiping with your silver cloth.

Recently, The Society of American Silversmiths discovered hand-sanitizers, such as Purell®, also quickly and beautifully clean Argentium®.

Put your jewelry on last, after applying your cosmetics, perfume, deodorant and hairspray.

Do not use any abrasives, such as chemicals, ultrasonic cleaners, or toothpaste on your jewelry. Do not wear your silver in chlorinated or salt water. (ie: Do not swim or go into hot tubs with your jewelry.)

Store your Argentium silver and pearls in individual compartments in your jewelry box, or their pouches, and keep all your jewelry (of any kind) away from anything that has sharp edges.  (Do not store pearls in airtight containers or direct sunlight, as that causes them to become dry & brittle.)

Caring for 14K Gold Jewelry:
